ACFS Q 2005 AGM will be held late in February 2005. Relevant information will be forwarded to members in Mid-January.

The Celebration of the Chinese New Year in 2005

The Chinese New Year in 2005 will have a special flavour. This occasion will be celebrated with a Singaporean style at Adam's Oriental Restaurant on Wed. evening, 9th of February 2005. The evening will feature special dishes and live entertainment. The maximum seating available is for 80 persons. Invitation with precise details will be forwarded to members in Mid-January.

YARLAH SHANBO
TIBETAN DANCE & MUSIC SHOW, 2005

BRIEF INTRODUCTION:

The Tibetan Art Troupe will come to Queensland to present Yarlha Shanbo- Tibetan Dance & Music Show 2005 to local audiences. It will be the first time in history that the Tibetan Art Troupe has presented the unique Tibetan performance arts in Queensland and it will be a golden opportunity for Queenslanders to enjoy the breathtaking and stunning Yarlha Shanbo Tibetan Dance & Music Show. The Show will be presented by about 30 top Tibetan artists and will feature typical Tibetan dances, songs, costumes and music, both traditional and modern.

Yarlha and Shanbo are Tibetan words meaning snowy mountains or snowy territory. "Yarlha Shanbo" is also the geographic name of snowy mountain and its surroundings areas in Tibet.
Accourding to Tibet historians, the "Yarlha Shanbo" regon is the origin of the Tibetan nation and Tibetan cultures and arts. So, Yarlha Shanbo represents Tibetan spirt and culture. The Yarlha Shanbo show will be ideal for Queensland residents of all cultural backrounds. There will be a speacial announcer to explan the show to the audience in English.
